In 1989, I took a cruise through the Caribbean. First, we had to fly from Los Angeles to Miami, and then from Miami to San Juan, Puerto Rico. We stayed three days in San Juan before heading off on the cruise. Then we went to St. Thomas, St. Maartens, Barbados, and Martinique. It was my first time on a cruise, and my first time in the Caribbean.
ReplyDeleteI also took a weekend cruise from Long Beach, Calfornia, to Ensenada, Mexico -- went with my sorority pledge sister -- we'd both turned 40 that year. I also took a weekend cruise on Carnival around the islands off the California coast with a group of people from a law firm where I worked. We were hammered the whole trip (the lawyers had lots of money and saw to that); most of us were too sick to go back to work on Monday -- including the senior partners!
If I could go anywhere in the world, I would like to take one of the Alaskan cruises. I know lots of people who cruised there, and everyone has said it was one of the best cruises they ever took -- specifically because of the scenery.
I have never taken a cruise vacation, but if I could go anywhere in the world, I would also like to take an Alaskan cruise (funny you said the same thing Professor Roberts) because two summers ago my dad wanted to go, but we ended up going to Cancun, Mexico instead. Cancun was fun, but I remember reading up about the Alaskan cruise and it seemed like it would have been more fun than Cancun. Cancun is not a place to go to with your parents and family friends. It’s more of a non-family place to travel too.
ReplyDeleteI have never taken a cruise vacation before, but if I could go anywhere in the world, I would love to take one in Europe. Especially the one that would take me around Italy exploring all the different cities and thier culture. I have friends who told me that Italy is something to see!
ReplyDeleteI have never taken a cruise vacation before. My mom always gets seasick so she refuses to take us. If I could plan a cruise vacation I would go to Tahiti. My boyfriend has gone and showed me amazing pictures. I love the hot weather and when I saw the pictures of the beaches, it looked like heaven. The water was crystal clear and I could almost feel the warm water he described. I could imagine myself enjoying the calming environment and having fun in the sun!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to go on a cruise, but have never been able to. I've had friends go and bring me back pictures, one of them had an aquarium on board. An aquarium on a boat sounds like the coolest thing ever to me. I think that cruise was somewhere in or around Aruba, so I'd say thats the cruise I'd like to one day find myself on. A boat with an onboard aquarium, its like putting a birdcage on a plane. I think that alone would get me to take that cruise.
ReplyDeleteIn 2006 I went on a cruise with my family to Florida and the Bahamas. I wasn't allowed to have a sweet sixteen party so my mom told me that I could pick a vacation to go on. I picked a cruise because I have never been on one and neither has any of my family members. If I could go anywhere on a cruise I would pick Greece. Ever since I watched the sisterhood of the traveling pants I have always wanted to go to Greece because it looks gorgeous and my mom who has gone said its one of the most beautiful places she has ever gone to.
ReplyDeleteIn 2007 I went on a cruise with my family to the Caribbean. We stopped at St. Thomas, Dominican Republic, Turks and Caicos, and Bermuda. All these places were very beautiful. It was a very fun trip. There was also a 24 hour buffet that my cousins, my sister and I loved. We met other kids that were on the cruise as well.
ReplyDeleteIf i were to go anywhere on a cruise I would want to tour the Mediterranean sea. Greece, Sicily, France, and any other countries that boarder this body of water are beautiful. Also, the water is like windex. I love Europe.
I have never been on a cruise, as sad as that is...but if I could go anywhere, I would cruise all over the South Pacific and Polanysian Islands.I would also definately go somewhere different, like Alaska. I've seen pictures of cruise ships traveling through Alaska and it is just BEAUTIFUL.
ReplyDeleteI have never really been on a cruise. This is because my father once represented some people who got sick on a cruise and the cruise ship company didn’t handle it well. I have gone on a few boat trips, but they have never lasted more than a few hours. I did go on two boat trips in Alaska last summer, one to see some glaciers and another to see birds, sea animals and more glaciers. If I were to take a cruise I would want to go somewhere in the Caribbean. I say this because that is a place I have not really been before. There are many beautiful islands to visit and I’ve heard that it is one of the best places to take a cruise. I also feel that doing this would be a good experience for me.
ReplyDeleteIve never been on a cruise but I would LOVE to go on one if someone reading this is gonna take me. I really don't have a specific destination as to where. It really just has to be way outside of the United States. Ive never left the country other than to go to Canada(America's Attic). Ive been to Puerto Rico every year since I was born. I would like to go somewhere with a different scene, perhaps Alaska? I hear that the glaciers are absolutely breathtaking
